19. Claims - Calculation of the indemnity ( Contents )
The sums insured for each of the established covers represent the maximum limit of the indemnity to be paid by the insurer for each claim.
In the event of permanent disability caused by an accident covered by the policy, the degree of disability shall be determined once the insured's condition is determined to be definite. The insurer shall establish the degree of disability in accordance with the medical certificate of disability and using the scale and rules for the valuation of disability that are set forth in article 5, section 5 in these general conditions.
If the insured does not agree with the degree of disability applied the parties will be subject to the decision of loss adjusters, in accordance with article 38 of Act 50/80 on Insurance Contracts.
