16. Period of cover of the insurance ( Contents )
- The policy's covers will take effect on the date and time indicated in its schedule.
- Upon expiry of the period indicated in the policy schedule, the policy will be understood as having been extended for a term of one year, and so on, with the expiry of each insurance year.
- Both parties may oppose the contract's extension by providing written notice to the other party at least two months before the conclusion of the insurance period underway at the time.
- Tacit extension is not applicable to insurance contracted for periods of less than one year.
- The insurance shall expire at the end of the insurance year in which the insured turns seventy years old.
- Also, if the insured should die or sustain total permanent disability during the term of the policy, the insurance contract shall be terminated and the insurer shall be entitled to the unused portion of the premium.
- If the insured moves abroad the insurance covers shall be suspended at the expiry date of the insurance year underway at that time.
